In my case it was "bot-traffic.icu" but others have reported seeing different domains.įrom what I've seen the traffic comes in a large sudden volume typically registering around 1,000 organic sessions / users or a little more. Instead of referral spam the spam is coming in as Google Organic with a website URL as the keyword.
Over the weekend it appears Google Analytics' ability to automatically filter spam bot traffic was defeated for multiple websites including my own, a few clients, and others that responded on Twitter and in a closed FB group.

I have setup firewall rule in cloud flare to block all traffic from outside of the UK. getting a lot of traffic in google analytics from trafficbot.live. Our definition of spam is "self-marketing orientated content" and "low grade content that offers no value for the average professional".
